About Mary Callaghan
Mary was elected as Councillor for Ballymun - Finglas in May 2019 in her first local election and was elected Deputy Lord Mayor of Dublin City in June 2020. She is a member of the Social Democrats Party.
Mary grew up and lives in Finglas East and knows the area well – its strengths and its challenges. She has seen how communities in Ballymun, Finglas and Glasnevin have used their expertise and talent to help each other and benefit the area.
She has a wealth of business experience to contribute, having worked in the corporate world for twenty years both in Ireland and internationally.
She has a degree in International Business, a diploma in Executive and Life Coaching and is also a qualified mindfulness and meditation instructor having studied with wellness expert, Deepak Chopra.
Training & Certifications
Mary’s training and certifications include a First Class Honours Degree in International Business, Diploma in Executive and Life Coaching, QQI Training Delivery and Evaluation, Professional Coaching Practice and Ethics, Certificate in Business Coaching, Documentary Film Production, plus a range of management training programmes. Mary is also a Mindfulness and Meditation Instructor certified by The Chopra Centre for Wellbeing and endorsed by Deepak Chopra.
